Making Rehabilitation Engaging, Effective, and Enjoyable for Kids

Open Telerehab, created by Human & Inclusion with support from USAID and Botnar, was initially boring for kids. As the lead designer, I introduced Quacker the Duck to make the app engaging. By using precise, optimized, obvious, and forgiving design principles, and adding gamification elements like leaderboards and rewards, we transformed the app into a fun, motivating experience. Now, children love using it, improving their rehabilitation outcomes worldwide.
