I Quit Social Media Because It Feeds Our Shadow of Childhood
11 Dec 2024
Most people are not living; they are reacting—reacting to the echoes of their childhood. The insecurities, the fears, the need for validation—all the unfinished business of youth finds its way into adulthood. Social media, with its endless feedback loops, amplifies these echoes. It strokes the worst parts of us: the need to compare, to prove, to seek approval from faceless crowds. Instead of healing, we are caught in a cycle of performance, showing the world a curated version of ourselves while hiding the fractured reality. What began as a tool to connect has become a stage for unresolved emotions, fueling division and eroding the ability to see one another clearly. I QUIT AND I SLOW LIVING.
