Heart and Brain
24 Jun 2024
It can be tempting to make decisions only based on reasoning in our fast-paced society, but making decisions that balance the needs of the heart and the intellect produces more satisfying results. Using your heart entails following your feelings, instincts, and compassion in addition to reason. When picking a college degree, for instance, your heart may guide you to a subject you are passionate about, which will result in a more fulfilling job, even when rationality may push you toward a lucrative sector. While practicality may lead to decisions in personal relationships, love and empathy are favored when the heart is involved. Making decisions that are important and astute is made easier when our heart and head are working together.
